This instrument was closely modelled after a sculpture from the 12th century that is part of the main portal of the cathedral at Santjago de Compostela in Spain, the Portico de la Gloria. Following the original design it is ornamented with a carved lionhead and a lions paw.
The instrument has 12 bronze strings
It has a range of one and a half octaves.

This picture shows a part of the sculptures in the arch of the portico.
They represent the elders from St. Johns Apocalypse. .
The harp is set off with a different color to make it easier to find. |
